A Portuguese way of living
The house is flooded with light and spacious. All rooms are large and comfortably furnished. The fireplace in the living room with the large front pane creates the incomparable atmosphere of an open fire.
We have complemented the traditional character of Portuguese architecture with modern elements. The furniture is simple and of high quality. All furnishings and objects for daily use are regularly maintained and/or renewed in order to guarantee high standards and a perfect feel-good atmosphere.

Nature and garden culture
Our house is situated in a hilly landscape between the Atlantic Ocean and the "Sierra de Monchique" whose highest mountain (Foia) can be seen from the property.
The environment is characterized by rural tranquillity, diverse flora and the scattered, traditional properties with large plots of land. Our garden has a large stock of old trees such as Mimosa, Olives, Almonds, Carob and Cypresses. In addition, there are fruit trees such as Figs, Oranges, Mulberries and Lemons.
The approx. 2000 square meter central garden is lovingly maintained and offers a wide variety of colors and smells in almost every season.

At either end of the house there are two double bedrooms and between the bedrooms there are two bathrooms, one with a walk-in shower and the other with a large jacuzzi bath. The third bedroom has 2 single beds. There is a large, open plan fully-equipped kitchen with all modern conveniences. The lounge is comfortably and modern furnished and leads directly out to the extensive gardens. We use high quality mattresses. The duvets are down-filled, anti allergenic and organic. The bed linen is Egyptian linen.

Energy concept
Since it is very important to us to use natural resources as carefully as possible, the house has a 12kWp photovoltage system, which usually completely covers the electricity requirements during the day, e.g. for irrigation, pool systems, cooking, air condition or the washing machine. So far we are able to save about 40% of the total power consumption and we are constantly increasing the solar capacities.
In addition, the lawn in the garden is watered with an automatic irrigation system that is fed by a rainwater collection system and our own bore hole. Wherever possible we use drip irrigation.
